MotorCities is offering three great FREE opportunities in June to hear from subject matter experts and get practical advice as part of its 2020 Lunch & Learn Series, now being presented live via Zoom.

 

The first session is called "Grant Writing Tips and Grant Opportunities for Your Organization" and takes place on Wednesday, June 10 from 12 – 1:30 p.m. with presenter Jeff Garrett, Operational Support Program Manager, Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs (MCACA).

 

Michigan's vibrant arts and cultural scene is important to the state's communities, excellent quality of life and thriving economy. The State of Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) is the state's key conduit for arts and cultural information, grant funding and more. Program manager, Jeff Garrett, will present a brief overview of MCACA grant programs for arts and cultural projects, the application process, as well as a few tips for competitive grant writing.

The second session is entitled "Financial Basics for Nonprofits” on Wednesday, June 17 from 12 – 1:30 p.m. with Ramona Oliverio of Accounting Services.

 

The third session is a “MotorCities Grant Procedures Update” with Brian Yopp, Director of Programs & Operations for MotorCities on Wednesday, June 24 from 12 – 1:30 p.m.
