Veteran journalist John Gallagher is a founding board member of the Albert Kahn Legacy Foundation, a non-profit that honors the life, innovations, and global influence of Detroit's great architect Albert Kahn. His presentation for Jewish History Month will blend a review of Kahn's illustrious career with a look at how the foundation is using lectures, tours, and a new museum exhibit to tell Kahn's story.

"Sloan Museum of Discovery: An Exclusive Sneak Preview" with Todd Slisher

The new Sloan Museum of Discovery opens in Flint on Saturday, July 16 after nearly five years of re-imagining what a science and history museum will look like. The museum will have four interactive, hands-on learning galleries, including a 10,000+ square-foot vehicle gallery, history gallery, science gallery, and an early childhood learning gallery space. Todd Slisher, Executive Director of the Sloan Museum of Discovery and Longway Planetarium, will give MotorCities a special early preview of this world-class museum right in downtown Flint, part of the Flint Cultural Center campus.
