Dearborn DeSoto Plant

At 8505 Warren Avenue, west of Wyoming, is the enduring administration building of the large manufacturing center where Chrysler Corporation produced DeSoto automobiles. The plant opened in 1920 to make Graham-Paige automobiles until closing in 1940. Chrysler Corporation used the plant through World War II to make components of military aircraft. Chrysler built DeSoto automobiles here from 1947 until closing in 1961.
