Event Description:The Commerce Township Community Library will be hosting a presentation by Russel Doré titled “The Dodge Brothers: Their Company and Their Lives.” This presentation will highlight the role of Henry Ford in their lives, how the Dodge Brothers moved from being parts suppliers to creating an automobile company that was second only to Ford Motor Company at one time. Follow their lives from humble beginnings to a world of mansions and yachts and how their company survived following their untimely deaths. Look into their involvement in Meadowbrook Hall, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and Oakland University. This one-hour presentation with visuals by Russell Doré, an automotive historian and writer. He is a board member of the MotorCities National Heritage Area, a member of the Northville Historical Society and a member of the Henry Ford Heritage Association.
