Event Description:Join City Tour Detroit for their captivating historical tour of “The Motor City.” This tour will focus on the historical origins of Detroit becoming the Motor City and is led by author and historian Paul Vachon. The tour will travel on foot and via the Detroit People Mover and/or QLine, you will visit many different historic markers and sites throughout Detroit. The tour will highlight how Detroit became the “Motor City” and how it “put the world on wheels.” This tour is offered in partnership with the MotorCities National Heritage Area. Paul Vachon is the author of the book “Becoming the Motor City: A Timeline of Detroit’s Auto History.”
