The Galaxie, which features a Ford 390 V8 engine and automatic transmission, was donated by Karen Tafralian of Southfield, who was the third owner of the vehicle and purchased it in 2006 from a family in Ohio. She had always wanted a classic convertible and loved taking it to the Woodward Dream Cruise and car shows every year.

"It was just a fun car to enjoy summer with friends and family," Tafralian said. "When the weather was good, that top was coming down!"
