At 38111 Van Dyke in Sterling Heights, north of Detroit, is the FCA Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. Built in 1953 for the United States military to produce jet engines and ballistic missles, this has been a Chrysler automotive assembly plant since 1983. This plant has built Chryslers, Plymouths, and Dodges, and started building the popular Ram trucks in 2018.
