For The Long Haul: The Birth of GMC Truck in Pontiac

In 1911, the new General Motors Truck Company (GMC Truck) was born to produce commercial and utility vehicles after the purchase of Rapid Motor Vehicle Company and Reliance Motor Truck Company. These trucks were designed more for endurance than comfort and were built for an amazing range of tasks that other cars were not yet able to achieve.
