Make Way for the "Chief of the Sixes"

In January 1926, Oakland Motors revealed its new Pontiac model, named for the city in which it was born and for the dynamic Native American chief of the 1700s. It was advertised as the "Chief of the Sixes" for its unique forty horsepower "split head" six engine.
